Put Me in the Zoo

Bruce and I went to the zoo this week along with some cousins. There were lots of really cool animals at this zoo: two lions, a tiger, two bears, two snow leopards, flamingoes, penguins, otters, and more. This zoo also had a few playgrounds in between animal exhibits.

This is Bruce's cousin, Elydia, riding in the zoo stroller.
They are only two months apart, so they sometimes play together really well - and other times they steal each other's toys and really egg each other on.
Here's Cousin Joe playing in a playhouse at the zoo.
This weekend we visited Lana, Scott (she married a Scott too), and Jared. We had a backyard barbecue and talked while Bruce played with Jared.
Jared really liked his pool. He really licked his pool too.
Bruce tried his hand at basketball. I'd say he's got a runner's body though. I know you can't tell, but we really do feed him.
Also this weekend, Scott and I went to the drive-in to see Hancock. Scott had never been to a drive-in theater; it was quite the experience. We brought our own popcorn and frosted animal cookies. We folded down our backseats and opened up the back of our car. We had lots of space and a great view of the screen. The only problem was that I forgot bug spray; the mosquitoes were awful. We took cover under a blanket, but it was about 85 degrees out. So we could either be insanely hot or eaten alive. We did a little of both.
Tonight Scott is driving back to Pittsburgh. The past week was great for him. He gets to work in an Alzheimer's clinic and see all its inner workings: patients, technologies, and research. He is really loving it.
